Mouthwatering meat from Oak Steakhouse
1. The El Felix
Chef Ford Fry’s growing restaurant repertoire (JCT. Kitchen & Bar, No. 246, King + Duke, etc.) extends OTP with Tex-Mex concept The El Felix. Featuring handmade tortillas and Fry’s distinct spin on Southwestern fare, this resto is churning out eats like puffy tacos, enchiladas, tamales and more.
2. CRÚ Food & Wine Bar
Centrally located, CRÚ Food & Wine Bar stands to be Avalon’s nightlife destination for residents and visitors looking to sip and socialize. The hangout’s got 350-plus wines on the docket, plus a rooftop bar and easy access to the bocce court next door. Cheers to that.
3. Oak Steakhouse
Foodies have been champing at the bits to try Charleston chef Jeremiah Bacon’s new resto, Oak Steakhouse. Inspired by his Charleston restaurant of the same name, the menu leans meaty with choice certified Angus beef selects, shareable plates, savory sides and craft cocktails.
4. Antico Pizza + Caffe Gio
Get Antico’s signature pizzas—baked to perfection in Italian custom ovens—scattered with fresh ingredients, as well as a smaller pizza option, when the Avalon resto opens later this year. Next door, the resto’s sister co., Caffe Gio, will open at breakfast and serve everything from espresso drinks and vino to soups, salads and gelato.
5. Bantu
This modern-style, fast-casual resto serves up approachable Asian street food (dumplings, Korean ramen, noodle bowls) in stylish surrounds. In addition to its range of eats, the spot gets bonus points for its covered patio.
