But that’s just what happened with their No. 1 single “Cruise,” which hit the Top 10 just 14 weeks after its release—the fastest debut since a Brooks & Dunn single waaay back in ’91. Now traveling with country “it” boy Luke Bryan and duo Thompson Square on one of the hottest tours this summer, the Fla.-Ga. boys are living the dream. Receiving seven total noms across the CMT Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards this year (scoring four wins along the way), Hubbard and Kelley were bound to meet some big stars. One surprising starstruck encounter? Wayne Newton! “He’s a legend [to us],” Kelley says. “He’s really cool, and we’re really tight now.” When it comes to the guys’ own crew this summer, we’re sure there are plenty of parties going down—after all, their second single “Get Your Shine On” always puts us in the mood to get a little cray cray. Their pregaming bevs of choice? “Maybe a shot of Fireball, maybe a sip of moonshine or two,” Kelley reveals. But the best part of their nearly overnight fame, according to Kelley, is the fans: “It’s really cool to see people dig what we’re doing and get to live this dream out with us... it has felt like when we win, everybody wins.” We have to agree—and, yes, ladies, these two are both single. @flagalin
