Turn the Bead Around

Say hello to JEZ’s latest obsession: the scarf necklace from Mignonne Gavigan New York. Created by New York City-based designer Mignonne Gavigan, these unique pieces came to life when Gavigan took a ripped piece of an embellished vintage gown and decided to wear it as a little neck jewelry. Instantly, fashionistas began asking The University of Georgia alum (who also studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Parsons The New School for Design) where they could score one. But this gal isn’t a one-hit wonder when it comes to fashion. Her impressive résumé includes interning with the Marc Jacobs design team, designing handbags for Khirma Eliazov and shoes for Rachel Roy, and grabbing a position as the senior shoe designer for Loeffler Randall. Lucky for us, these showstopping pieces are hitting A-Town at Sandpiper, Kane (a brand-new boutique coming to the Westside!) and Ona Atlanta. We call dibs on the fringed Le Marcel bauble! @mignonnegavigan
