The pizza competition in Roswell has a new contender, and we’re loving the 5 Boroughs pie!
F&H Food Trading Group, the team behind Roswell favorites Little Alley Steak and Salt Factory Pub, have opened Historic Roswell’s most authentic Neapolitan-style joint, The Real Fix Pizzeria. Housed in 1,200 square feet of Italian-inspired space on Elizabeth Way, the new spot serves up create-your-own pies, a variety of red and white pizzas (fermented for 96 hours and baked to perfection in 900-degree brick ovens), plus small bites such as fresh homemade mozzarella.
The dining duo behind F&H teamed up with recent Italian expat Pizzaiolo Giacomo Lazzano to conceptualize the casual neighborhood resto. With Lazzano’s help, they created a space inspired by the streetside pizzerias of Napoli (the pie menu is even dubbed Streets of Naples).
And the fare is just as authentic as the man making it. Lazzano brings with him a rich résumé of Italian culinary experience, which goes beyond the standard cheese and tomato sauce creation. The house favorite is the Famous Original Fried Pie, a decadent and delicious dish (to say the least) that’s precisely what it sounds like. The team’s commitment to authenticity also includes their two specialized wood-burning ovens. These one-of-a-kind, handmade ovens were assembled by Italian craftsmen using the ashes of Mt. Vesuvius, allowing them to achieve higher temperatures. Along with Neapolitan and fried pies: Gluten-friendly options; an array of salads; and a full menu of draft and bottled beers, and wines by the glass round out the mouthwatering menu. Salve, Roswell!
