The holiday season might look a little different this year, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate with extra cheer. From whimsical holiday light displays to Santa appearances and the annual Xfinity Movie Series, you won’t have any trouble creating magical memories at The Battery Atlanta.
The most wonderful time of the year has begun, and The Battery Atlanta is kicking off the season by showcasing its holiday best. From their first steps on the property, guests are transported into a winter wonderland extravaganza full of shimmering light displays and decorations. Visitors can experience immersive sound and light displays, journey through an enchanting larger-than-life light-up baseball, pose with the colossal red and blue ornament displays dotting the property, and admire the breathtaking 30-foot tree stationed in the Plaza.
Spread Out and Spread Cheer
Embrace sweater weather at the annual Xfinity Movie Series at The Battery Atlanta, featuring family-friendly films under the stars. Pull up a lawn chair or spread out a thick blanket on the Plaza Green every Friday at 7 pm and immerse in the big-screen experience. This year’s lineup features must-see films including, The Lorax, Abominable, and The Goonies, and rounds off with the holiday favorite, The Grinch, on December 18. Moviegoers can order takeout at any of the one-of-a-kind dining options for the perfect dinner and a movie picnic.
Pop Into Santa's Post Office
You won’t want to miss out on capturing merry moments with the family at The Battery Atlanta’s newest installment, Santa’s Post Office Sponsored by Truist. From Friday, November 27 to Thursday, December 24, Santa will continue the time-honored tradition of greeting local children. This year, he will set-up shop every Friday through Sunday in November and December on Heritage Court, just across the street from Wahlburgers, ensuring the holiday moment is still magical! Families are invited to drop off their handwritten letters to Santa – postage not required – in person at his official Atlanta outpost. Santa’s helpers will take care of the rest! There will not be a professional photographer on-site, so parents are encouraged to take photos of their children interacting with Santa from a safe distance as he listens to their wish lists. Santa will be stationed behind a countertop for a contactless experience. Only one family will be allowed in Santa’s Post Office at a time. Can’t make it by on the weekend? Santa’s elves installed a mailbox just outside!
