NEW HEIGHTS “This is a new level of luxury at one of the most desirable locations in the city,” says SkyHouse Buckhead’s property manager, Carrie Price.
If you’re a barhopping junkie (yeah, if), it’s fair to say that you’ve probably spent many a happy hour in the Buckhead Triangle, where the beer is cold, the people are pretty, and the valet parking is abundant. So when JEZ catches wind of a new hangout spot in this ’hood, you know we’re all over it.
With that little teaser, we’d like to introduce you to Big Sky Buckhead. If you’ve taken a spin down Cains Hill Place lately, you’ve probably seen it—a two-story buildout, lined with brick columns and a towering hardwood balcony straight out of a Montana hunting lodge.
True to the name, the view is a big deal at Big Sky. The balcony and patio you see here face west, offering some crazy views of the sunset over the St. Reg’. Opposite the sprawling indoor space, festooned with rough-hewn trim and wrought-iron lighting, is a second outdoor chill spot, offering a sweeping vista of Buckhead’s high-rise district. Throw in some live music on the weekends, two full bars and some perfecto bar fare, and you’ve got your Friday night nailed down.
Speaking of the menu: The team behind Big Sky tapped Pura Vida and Super Pan alum Hector Santiago to head up the menu creation, while his former associate, Pedro Matos, helms the kitchen as executive chef. Do yourself a favor, and order up a pair of Santiago’s Cubano, pork belly, chicken or BBQ beef coconut buns—just the thing to temper your boozy buzz.
