If Meghan Murphy looks familiar, it’s no surprise. This PR dynamo has been dazzling the ATL events and promotions scene for the better part of the last decade. With a killer résumé that includes repping Gerber Group’s Whiskey Blue and Whiskey Park, W Atlanta – Buckhead, the Food Network and 20th Century Fox, it’s safe to say the Auburn University alum has worked with some of the best in the biz. “It’s been a very fun ride: I spent a year working for Tara Murphy at 360 Media and almost six years working for Carolyn Sloss at Allied Integrated Marketing,” she says. “Hard work definitely has something to do with my career progression thus far, but I’ve also been in the right place at the right time. To say I learned from the best would be an understatement.”
Now the practically native Atlantan (she moved here in the fourth grade) is stepping into a new role: marketing director for Healey Weatherholtz Properties, LLC. Translation? She’s the new face and voice of Buckhead’s Shops Around Lenox.
“Joining the team as marketing director feels fantastic,” she beams. “They have a huge portfolio with lots of different projects in the works. I’m really excited that I get to be a part of it all!”
And when she’s not busy with her marketing-mogul duties, this girl-on-the-go likes to hit up her favorite hot spots—and haute spots. Her shopping go-tos include, “Tootsies for party dresses and designer duds; Kendra Scott for accessories; fab’rik, Bevello and Swank for date nights; J.Crew for staples; and Anthropologie for fun.” As for dining, Murphy loves to dig into dishes at Seven Lamps, Local Three Kitchen & Bar and Bhojanic.
Thanks to a major milestone, she’s also planning to add health nut to her résumé: “I recently got engaged!” she reveals. “Spots like Roots Juices, DEKA, lululemon athletica, Pure Barre and Flywheel Sports are going to start seeing a lot more of me.”
While she can’t share any breaking Shops Around Lenox scoop right now (“[JEZ] will be the first to know!” she promises), she’s excited to put her own signature stamp on the shopping district. “I’ve got a few surprises up my sleeve,” she says. “Three months ahead should bring more pop-ups, local collaborations, Champagne and confetti.” We like the sound of that! @lenoxshopgirl
