Sage Hammond Provides Atlanta the Perfect Summer Anthem

Sage Hammond is no stranger to the spotlight. The sizzling songstress hit Atlanta’s music scene at just 15 years old, after local producer and vocal coach Jan “Mama Jan” Smith found her covers on YouTube. As for her own music, Hammond has just scratched the surface. Her first single, “Obvious,” has over 190K streams on Spotify, and she’s set to release a few more before the summer’s end. While most of her days are spent in the studio, she visits outdoor favorites like Piedmont Park and Ponce City Market when she needs a change of scenery. If she’s looking to check out other artists (her current favorites are 6LACK and Khalid), she prefers intimate listening rooms like Eddie’s Attic. As for her ultimate inspiration? “I sing music that is real and true to me,” she says. “Music is my outlet, so I draw inspiration from my life and personal experiences in hopes that people will be able to relate to it.” @sagehammond
