Interviewing former presidents, managing communications for elected officials and putting together a killer biz-casual look—it’s all in a day’s work for 23-year-old Katelyn Greer. This Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., native spends her days as a broadcast specialist at the Georgia Senate Press Office, and her nights as an avid lifestyle blogger with an impressive following.

Post-graduation from The University of Tennessee with an electronic-media journalism degree, Greer interned abroad in Mongolia one summer before moving to the ATL. She cut her teeth in the world of politics interning in Gov. Nathan Deal’s communications office before scoring her current gig, where she produces multiplatform media from press releases to online videos and has a front-row seat to the state legislative process.

With a high-flying professional career, Greer balances things out by indulging in her creative passions—that’s where her blog comes in. “I’ve blogged for years,” she says—it all started with an eponymous travel blog to keep her family and friends updated on her whereabouts during a solo trip around Asia in 2010. Upon her return, she transitioned it into a lifestyle blog, Kate Styled Pretty (—which has grown to a readership of 1,000-plus subscribers—covering topics from fashion to recipes to photography.

When she’s not clicking around online stores for outfit inspiration—“The trick to online shopping is to know your measurements,” she says—the petite fashionista can be found scouring racks at J.Crew, Lizard Thicket, Zara and Kate Spade New York.

As for what’s on the horizon? “I could see myself working in public relations,” she says, “but I also wouldn’t mind becoming the next Anderson Cooper.” We’re betting she’ll get there—and will look nothing less than fabulous the whole way. @katestylepretty
