ATL’s Blanc Studio West is picture-perfect, and Instagram is taking notice.
Faithful JEZEBEL readers will recognize Alexandria Murray as the genius behind the lens of some of our favorite photographs. She’s worked with nearly all of Atlanta’s influencers, capturing street-style shots at New York Fashion Week and adding her signature ethereal edit to fashion, beauty and lifestyle campaign images. Most recently, the business-savvy photographer used her industry knowledge to open the doors of Blanc Studio West. The boutique rental studio caters to ATL’s most creative, offering a picture-perfect place for photo shoots, video shoots, meetings, small events, workshops and
pop-ups.
With 18-foot ceilings, exposed piping and factory windows, the space is a Pinterest board come to life. “Every aspect of Blanc Studio West was created with intention and purpose,” says Murray. “It had to be soft and natural [and] photograph well.” Natural light and a neutral color palette helped Murray achieve the look and feel of an all-white studio space, and movable furniture, original artwork and strategic design elements like oversize mirrors and an antique fireplace give the studio added depth. A loft kitchen, dining room and full bathroom make the studio functional.
Murray says she’s looking forward to watching the space grow with the ever-evolving industry: “Our intention for the space is and always will be purely to be a space that people can come and let their creative juices flow, to create beautiful art, whatever that may be.”
