Noelle, Nashville gives the city's creative rebels more than just a place to lay their heads.
The penthouse bedroom features a striking blue accent wall.
A modernized revamp of one of Nashville’s first luxury properties, Noelle, Nashville, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel (@noelle_nashville) has entered its second act as the space continues to dig its roots in the eclectic atmosphere of Music City. First opened in 1930 by prominent Nashville family the Noels, the historic building holds creative notes from over 50 of the finest local craftsmen and artists who have made the space one of the longest-standing, most unique spots on Boutique Row. With 224 contemporary and cozy guestrooms and suites neighboring the exciting hustle and bustle of Printer’s Alley, Noelle is the perfect place for visitors and locals alike to share the most authentic Nashville experiences.

Inside the storied locale, old meets new as the space’s chic interior design showcases the hotel’s original art deco-inspired decor while also incorporating modernized elements. From wood ceilings gently crafted with geometric patterns to historic odes to notable Nashville figures scattered in each room, Noelle puts its own unique and handcrafted touches on each of its elegant spaces. The property houses a wide array of luxurious options for your city slumbers. From classic rooms offering custom-scented bath amenities and handwoven robes to deluxe VIP suites with plush king-size beds and brightening floor-to-ceiling windows, Noelle will have you hesitant to pack your bags as you bask in the relaxing and thoughtfully curated atmosphere of your bedroom. And keep an eye out for the hotel’s lavish penthouse, which you may recognize from Carrie Underwood’s “Cry Pretty” music video or from the Vanderpump Rules cast’s latest Nashville getaways.
Located on the corner of Fourth Avenue and Church Street, Noelle is a consistent spot on the map of Nashville’s most adventurous citygoers. “The hotel elicits feelings of curiosity from passersby, which draws people in wanting to know what’s inside,” says Noelle’s director of sales and marketing, Tracy Wray. The space’s street view offers a peek into Noelle’s Keep Shop, a luxury retail experience boasting works by local and independent makers. It’s no surprise that this bright space catches the eyes of many passing explorers, who are lured inside and later leave with a handful of charming treasures. Also contributing to Noelle’s inviting streetside attraction, Drug Store Coffee is another street-level landmark that draws in bystanders’ eyes—and noses—when releasing the warm and delicious scent of espresso beans—plus breakfast and lunch fixes—out onto the streets of downtown. Wray’s go-to Drug Store caffeinated fix? The rich, creamy chai latte paired with the restaurant’s hot chicken and waffle. Or if you’re looking for a boozy way to start your day, Wray suggests a spicy bloody mary mixed in-house by Noelle’s talented group of baristas.
Upon entering Noelle, visitors may find themselves drawn to the lobby’s popular bar, Trade Room. A lively gathering space for hotel guests, locals and other visitors, Trade Room offers a welcoming and spirited environment paired with a robust all-American wine list and cocktail selection and a diverse menu of locally celebrated snacks. Nibble on a Nashville staple Goo Goo Cluster, or go the savory route with a mouthwatering hot chicken Caesar wrap, as you relax among the 1930s glamour of Trade Room’s elegant aesthetic.
The hotel’s nightlife scene doesn’t stop there, either. Whether you’re looking to close out your night off with a nightcap or you’re in need of a revitalizing tipple before a night on the town, Noelle’s year-round rooftop bar and lounge, Rare Bird, is the place for you. Added bonus: The popular spot boasts some of the best city views in all of Nashville. “Rare Bird’s offerings are some of the best in town,” says Wray. “Guests can take in the Nashville sunset and unbeatable views of the cityscape while enjoying a rotating menu of small plates and handcrafted cocktails,” she says, noting the airborne bar’s weekly DJ performances, which add a vivacious flair to the Rare Bird’s fiery ambiance
The popular rooftop space foils Noelle’s best-kept secret, Hidden Bar, the hotel’s tucked away speakeasy underneath the 13-story building. The underground sanctuary is currently busy being revitalized and gearing up to make its return this fall, reintroducing Nashville’s mixology lovers to experimental cocktails and surprise seasonal activations. And to conclude your culinary conquests, grab a bite at Noelle’s signature restaurant, Makeready Libation & Liberation, a savory brunch spot, open Friday through Sunday, taking seasonal approaches to American tavern food, with a savory selection of rotisserie-fired meats, burgers and tasty bites.
