Kyma’s new Ouzo Bar defines staycation, taking you on a trip to the Mediterranean sans passport.
A look at Ouzo’s outdoor patio.
From beloved Buckhead chef Pano Karatassos comes your new favorite hangout, Kyma’s Ouzo Bar & Dining Room, located in the former Octopus Lounge. With a focus on small plates, great wine and cocktails, the new concept offers Atlantans a chic space to unwind in while enjoying an elevated meze menu. Pickled white hardwood floors, long white drapes and flat-screen televisions featuring looped videos of the Aegean Sea set the scene—you’ll feel like you stepped right into Santorini. Outside, the garden has been transformed into an all-weather covered patio that offers the perfect space for a summer celebration for up to 20 of your nearest and dearest. The easy, breezy aesthetic is a welcome escape from Atlanta’s slick street views.

Curious about the cuisine? The new menu includes Kyma favorites like lamb pie and octopus, but lighter fare such as spread trios, halibut and seasonal salads are just as tempting. Specialty Greek cocktails—think watermelon mojitos and cucumber martinis—pair perfectly with the resto’s airy atmosphere.

For chef Pano, the transition is a natural one. The celebrated chef has redefined Greek cuisine, modernizing the traditional dishes he grew up watching his yiayia prepare in the kitchen. His talent results in a truly authentic experience. So, while you may have pressed pause on your summer vacay plans, Ouzo is ready to transport you to the Greek isles.
