Consultations Are Key
To make sure you’re getting the most out of your experience, you’ll want to schedule a consultation with one of Plastic Surgery Group of Atlanta’s surgeons. Developing an injection plan tailored to your individual needs (like whether you’ll respond better to Botox or Dysport) will ensure you get the most from your treatment and prevent any undesired results.

It’s Quick and Easy
You won’t be at Plastic Surgery Group of Atlanta for long—in fact, your first appointment will take a little less than an hour, during which your provider will do a full facial analysis and develop an injection plan prior to your treatment. “For visits after your initial treatment, your appointment is generally 30 minutes or less,” says Dr. Alexandra Hart.

Results Aren’t Immediate
You won’t be leaving Plastic Surgery Group of Atlanta totally wrinkle-free. “The results of toxin treatments are gradual. You may start to see results as soon as two to three days post-treatment, however, it does take about seven to 10 days for the toxin to take full effect,” says Hart.

Schedule an Early Workout

“Since the products that are injected need time to settle into the muscle, you will want to refrain from certain activities like working out, lying down or wearing a hat for four to six hours post-treatment,” cautions Jenny Azar, N-PC. “This reduces the risk of the toxin spreading from a specific injection site to a nearby area, potentially causing a variation in the treatment plan.” If you’re not psyched about skipping a day in the gym, make sure to schedule your workout before your appointment.

Get an Early Start

“Toxin treatments are great to prevent some of the visible signs of aging,” adds Hart. “By starting early, you can minimize movements that create lines and wrinkles before they become too severe.”
