This known foodie is the renowned chef behind various restaurants worldwide and has been recognized by the New York Times, the James Beard Foundation, Netflix hit shows and several other platforms for his talent. Needless to say, Samuelsson knows what he’s doing. The restaurant has a carefully curated menu emblematic of Samuelsson’s personality offering everything from oysters on the half-shell to an assortment of steaks and barbeque. Other remarkable menu items include Marcus’s signature Brown Sugar Wings, Seafood Piccadilly and Old Bay Crab Cakes. Inside Marcus Bar and Grille, guests are welcomed with a vibrant funky atmosphere and a retro roller skate-embellished wall that meets the exposed golden brick interior. The restaurant highlights an outdoor patio to mingle and eat under the stars and an open kitchen inside with a dining counter for guests to enjoy the live-fire cooking and hearth oven. In addition, Marcus Bar and Grille has a lively bar featuring local craft beers, colorful cocktails, and an impressive wine list that anchors the open, convivial main dining space. Those looking for a more personal space to party can opt in for the private dining room that lends itself to a hip-hop recording studio decked with vintage records and eyecatching art. The combination of food, culture, arts and community calls for an unbeatable night at Marcus Bar and Grille. 525 Edgewood Ave. SE, @marcusbarandgrille
