Like a true Southerner, when the temperatures drop below 80 and the sun starts to set before 8pm, my mind begins to fixate on one thing and one thing only: football season. While pumpkin spice lattes, scary movies and cinnamon-scented candles certainly put a smile on my face, nothing quite compares to the feeling of a Tide victory—sorry, Dawgs.
If there’s one thing attending an SEC school taught me, it’s that you aren’t truly ready for game day without a killer outfit and color-coordinated accessories. It only seems fitting that while our favorite players are gearing up for the season’s biggest rivalries, we start to prepare in our own way—by clearing out our closets and making room for autumn’s accoutrements.
In this issue, you’ll find all the inspiration necessary for a trendy transition. A shopping spree with Atlanta’s best-dressed besties at boutiques like chanElizabeth, Elk Head Clothing and LUNA; a sneak peek at the new 2019 fall/winter Caroline Ann. Collection; and major #OOTD inspiration from ATL’s most fashion-forward photographer are a few of this issue’s MVPs.
Just in case football and fashion aren’t your forte, we’ve also drafted some alternate to-do’s that are sure to fill your weekend. From iconic Atlanta events like Music Midtown and LudaDay Weekend to must-visit newcomers like Big Softie and Cold Beer, there’s no shortage of action this season.
And, finally, I’d like to give one last thank you to 2019’s Most Eligible Atlantans and to everyone that made our Most Eligible party so much fun this year! If you thought we were finished rounding up ATL’s finest, think again. JEZEBEL’s 50 Most Beautiful Atlantans issue is coming up next, and I can’t wait for you to see who made the list.
