Escape to Julep Farms Where The Simple Life Meets Luxury Living

Take a break from the bustle and book a weekend trip to Julep Farms, where the simple life Meets luxury living.

If fall is the ideal time to slow down and embrace life’s simplicities, then Julep Farms is the perfect place. The modern farm resort—conceptualized by experienced restaurateurs Lauren and Rick Weaver—is a slice of elegance tucked quietly in the valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With its luscious landscape, on-site gardens and charming farm life, Julep Farms offers Southern living through a luxury lens.

The resort’s restaurant, Julep Kitchen, is a must-try during your visit. Using fresh, seasonal ingredients, the kitchen gives a delightfully Southern twist to new American cuisine. Brunch, lunch and dinner are yours for the tasting—or try all three during your extended stay. For a more relaxed dining option, grab a quick snack at the Julep Coffee and Sweets Bar; whether you’re grabbing lunch to go or satisfying a sweet tooth, you can’t go wrong with the farm-fresh preparations.

We’ve already covered coffee, so we’ll skip right to cocktails. Julep Bar is the perfect place to wind down after a day full of activity. Locally crafted beer and a selection of wine and Champagne are staples on the menu, but the creative craft cocktails are what really shine. We suggest the mint julep, for obvious reasons.

Located in the Julep Farms Social House is Julep Market. Peruse the collection of freshly grown flowers and herbs, unique home and garden finds, furniture, handmade jewelry and other keepsakes. You’ll want to take home a couple of Julep Farms candles to commemorate your stay. See something you’d like to save for later? You can now shop the market’s unique collection online.

To get the full experience, it’s worth staying in one of Julep Farms’ four cottages. The luxury rentals are equipped with state-of-the art technology and appliances (every resort stay should come with its own Roku and wine fridge, am I right?), but the similarities stop there. Each cottage has its own unique identity, so every guest experience is different.
