Just when we thought Buckhead couldn’t get any more luxe, Nobu (@nobuatlanta) is here to prove us wrong. With less than 20 hotels worldwide, the brand is making Atlanta the sixth city in the U.S. for hotels and 17th city for restaurants to bear its name—putting the Peach State in good company with Chicago, Las Vegas, Malibu and Miami Beach. Before it was one of the most sought-after reservations in the world, Nobu started as a singular restaurant in Tribeca—the brainchild of celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper. Born in Saitama, Japan, chef Nobu traveled the world perfecting his culinary skills, eventually opening his first restaurant in Lima, Peru. Without access to many of the ingredients plentiful in Japan, he was forced to improvise, intertwining Japanese and Peruvian cuisine in each dish, known today as Nobu style.

It was this fusion style that put his next L.A.-based restaurant, Matsuhisa, on the map. It was here that Nobu was connected with De Niro, who convinced him to take his talents to the East Coast. Upon opening in 1994, it didn’t take long for the restaurant to distinguish itself as a celebrity favorite, becoming a go-to for New York’s elite. Now, 29 years and more than 50 restaurants later, the Japanese cuisine hot spot has achieved icon status. After booking one of Nobu Atlanta’s 152 luxury accommodations, guests can sit and sip at the rooftop pool and lounge, perched nine stories up to align perfectly with the city’s skyline. Here on a work trip? Even better. The hotel’s conference center creates the perfect spot to balance work and play—just be sure to unwind afterward.

Food-focused guests can dine in style at the Nobu restaurant located on premises, serving up raved-about favorites like miso-marinated black cod and hamachi with jalapeno. From the 360-degree views of downtown Buckhead to the personalized Nobu Porsches parked outside, Nobu Atlanta has it all… consider our reservations booked.
