Sparks flew when 2015 Most Eligibles Donny Fowler and Elaine Randant first met at the JEZEBEL Mix & Mingle. Not even the return of an ex and three years apart stood a chance against this love story.

Picture this: The year was 2015, and distressed denim, white sneakers and “Hotline Bling” were all the rage. JEZEBEL’s 20 Most Eligible Atlantans, including Elaine Randant and Donny Fowler, flocked to The Ivy for the magazine’s zodiac-themed Mix & Mingle, where Randant and Fowler found themselves near the bar upstairs. They couldn’t keep their eyes off each other. “I was immediately smitten with her,” reveals Fowler.
Much to his dismay, the stars didn’t quite align that night as Randant—coined by Fowler the “Least Most Eligible Atlantan”—had gotten back with her ex before the issue hit stands. Nevertheless, the attraction was undeniable. “He definitely caught my eye,” recalls Randant. “I definitely knew he was a catch.” The two became fast friends until finally kindling a relationship in 2016—goodbye, friend zone!
But, as with any great love story, their tale was not without its ups and downs, and the two lost touch for three years, until the universe pulled them back together in April 2019. One dinner later, and they never looked back.
This past February, a Super Bowl Sunday brunch at Canoe turned into a stroll along the Chattahoochee River where Fowler dropped down on one knee and popped the question. “I couldn’t be more excited to marry him!” says the beautiful bride-to-be. The two lovebirds will tie the knot at Atlanta History Center in April 2022, with a fairy-tale ceremony in front of Swan House. Just call us matchmakers!
