Breaking Glass

Allison Mitchell | April 2, 2014 | Articles

We first raved to you about local fashion designer Abbey Glass when she launched her inaugural commercial line back in March 2013 after stints with Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and local hero Sid Mashburn, but we had to give this rising star an extra boost of love after previewing her stunning summer collection last month at the brand new Showroom Ampersand at Tula Art Center & Galleries. Inspired by her father’s work as a neurologist and the muscle biopsy images he would bring home, Glass’ summer line is an impeccable blend of unique patterns and beautiful colors. But we’re not the only ones taking notice—the 25-year-old phenom was recently featured as a guest editor for Marie Claire, repping A-Town in all her chic glory, and joined a dream team of three other innovators to create Factory Girls, which is allowing Glass to manufacture her best work yet. Cheers to you, dear Abbey! @abbeymglass
