These minimal-downtime procedures recommended by providers at Beaty Facial Plastic Surgery (@beatyfacialplasticsurgery) are the perfect way to quickly make subtle changes for big results.
Injections
“Neurotoxins, also known as Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin, are injectable solutions that temporarily block nerve receptors in the muscle, preventing movement and thereby stopping lines and wrinkles from forming. These injections usually start to work three to five days after injection and last three to four months. The most common areas neurotoxins are injected are the glabella (between the eyebrows), forehead and crow’s feet (outer eyes) to create a smooth upper face. These injections should only be done by a knowledgeable provider or you could experience asymmetry or an eyelid droop.” –Dr. Celeste Nagy
Derma Peel
“The Perfect Derma Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel that combines powerful ingredients that include trichloroacetic acid, kojic acid, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, vitamin C and antioxidant glutathione. This combination treats dark sun spots, fine lines, acne scars and a dull, aging complexion. Most importantly, this peel is safe for all skin types and can be catered to each patient. Peeling starts at around day three until day seven, making it important to plan this treatment at least two weeks prior to a major social event. It is a great treatment to do in the winter when you are not getting as much sun exposure!” –Dr. Celeste Nagy
Brow Lift
“A brow lift reduces the appearance of aging and rejuvenates the face. A brow lift can be achieved through Ultherapy or Botox. Ultherapy lifts the brow through heating deep tissue using ultrasound waves, tightening the tissue. Nerve blocks help manage the pain during the procedure, and full results are visible after a year. Botox lifts the brow through counteracting the muscle that is pulling downward. The neurotoxin paralyzes the muscle, stopping the pull-down on the brow and letting the muscle in your forehead pull the brow up.” –Gary Washington, FNP-C
