You’ve seen the construction and stalked its progress, scouring the internet for opening announcements. Consider The Interlock officially crowned as Atlanta’s newest hot spot—and it lives up to every bit of the hype.
First came the luxury apartments, then came the already-legendary Puttshack, then came Bellyard and its much-anticipated Drawbar patio—not to mention the first-rate office spaces that house Georgia Tech Foundation’s startup incubator. Now, The Interlock releases its next set of soon-to-be favorites. “It’s at the epicenter of everything in West Midtown,” says Jeff Garrison, a principal with developer SJC Ventures, of the in-demand mixed-use build. From French patisseries to craft cocktails to-go, here’s your guide to what’s open, what’s coming and what to look out for next. 1115 Howell Mill Road NW, @theinterlockatl

VELVET TACO
Already an Atlanta favorite, Velvet Taco opens its latest location at The Interlock. Expect a new taco to join the menu weekly—cheekily dubbed #WTF, or weekly taco feature—alongside fresh additions like Korean fried rice and Mexi-Cali shrimp, as well as Ranch Water, the signature Kick Ass Margarita and more. Says general manager Tanesha Blake, “Velvet Taco and Atlanta go together like tacos and margaritas!” @velvettaco
Holiday Bar is slated for a late-August opening.
HOLIDAY BAR
Crafted from stacked shipping-like containers, Holiday Bar will be Atlanta’s first open-air bar when it bows at the end of summer—fitting for the open-container development. With coffees, craft cocktails and to-go beverages, this bar debut is one of The Interlock’s most eagerly awaited. @holidaybaratl

POUR TAPROOM
With up to 85 self-service beers, ciders and wines on tap, Pour Taproom will soon join The Interlock’s ranks. The menu at this come-as-you-are spot will dish out burgers, fries and American fare perfected, but the design itself is nothing to scoff at. “The design was centered around the act of interlocking—from its L-shaped layout to the actual design elements on the wall,” says Neil Waddle of Terminus Design Group. “It takes a hint of West Midtown’s historic industrial complex, but adds to it a freshly subtle, modern take that brings people together.” @pourtaproom_atlanta
CATHY’S GOURMET ICE CREAM SANDWICHES
Watch out, Jeni’s. There’s a new gourmet ice cream shop in town. Treat yourself to customizable flavors like snickerdoodle cookies with banana pudding ice cream, or chocolate brownie cookies paired with white chocolate truffle ice cream. Pints of ice cream and cookie dough to-go are also on offer. @cathyscle
SAINT GERMAIN CAFE & BAKERY
Husband-and-wife team Mathieu and Heather Jourdan-Gassin bring the spirit of France to the Westside with Saint Germain Cafe & Bakery’s second location at The Interlock—a third is set to follow in Buckhead Village this fall. Escape to a Parisian terrace as you sip coffee and wine and indulge in pastries, tarts, chocolates, patisseries and more. There’s also a petit Saint Germain outpost inside Bellyard’s lobby. @stgermainbakery
The Interlock is already hopping, but there’s even more fun on the way. Keep your eyes peeled for more on these impending debuts.
