Tis’ the season! Atlantic Station, West Midtown’s premier mixed-use community, is gearing up to once again be metro Atlanta’s go-to holiday shopping and entertainment destination. This year, Atlantic Station invites guests to experience the traditional merry festivities and experiences they know and love, but with a modern, artful twist.

As they walk on property, guests will be transported into a whimsical winter wonderland featuring thousands of twinkling lights upon a grand 44-foot tree, 7-foot-tall reindeer figurines, vintage Atlanta pop-up activations, interactive custom displays and more. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Atlantic Station are also partnering with Carson Williams, an electrical engineer whose ingenious holiday light experiences have gone viral, to provide hand-programmed light shows to the tune of holiday favorites.

While the decor throughout property is Atlanta-inspired, the vision for the installation is from former New York street artist and installation sculptor John Carter who drew from his northern experiences to light up the Station. To make the displays more art than decoration, Carter created the magical reindeer out of Georgia license plates, metal cars and found materials, with the reindeer costumes custom-made by famed Broadway tailor Arel Studio. Additionally, the vintage VW Beetle on property was conceived by Carter and reimagined by Costume Armour, New York’s premier prop and sculpture shop known for creating work for Broadway’s biggest shows, including CATS and Phantom of the Opera.

New this year, guests can also enjoy “The Vinyl Lounge and Sleigh Lodge,” a modern pop-up spot decorated with Atlanta artists’ holiday-themed albums and a record player. Throughout the season, Atlantic Station will host special experiences in the cozy lounge, including festive cocktail hours, holly jolly photo opportunities and more.

In addition to the Instagram-worthy decor and pop-ups, Atlantic Station will activate the property all season long with merry moments and experiences for all ages to enjoy, including:

  • Skate the Station – From Nov. 16 to Jan. 18, skaters are invited to lace up and glide around Atlanta’s favorite ice skating rink under the twinkling lights.
  • Atlanta Festival of Lights – Beginning Dec. 4, the Pinnacle Lot will light up for the inaugural drive-thru light show experience – and the only one inside the Perimeter. Until Jan. 18, (sleigh) riders can enjoy colorful displays, beautiful twinkling lights and holiday tunes.
  • Solstice Supper Club at Atlantic Station – Starting Dec. 1, 10 igloos will take up shop in Atlantic Green, creating a festive dinner and a show experience. The igloos seat four to eight people and for $100 each, guests can enjoy a four-course delectable dinner and prime viewing of Celebration at the Station, a nightly tree lighting spectacle. Igloo guests can choose between two seatings each night, 5-7:30 p.m. or 8-10 p.m.

Each holiday experience will incorporate special safety protocols, such as pre-purchased tickets, frequent cleanings and sanitization around property, encouraging the use of masks and more. To stay up to date on all of Atlantic Station’s holiday experiences, visit
