Tis’ the season! Atlantic Station, West Midtown’s premier mixed-use community, is gearing up to once again be metro Atlanta’s go-to holiday shopping and entertainment destination. This year, Atlantic Station invites guests to experience the traditional merry festivities and experiences they know and love, but with a modern, artful twist.

As they walk on property, guests will be transported into a whimsical winter wonderland featuring thousands of twinkling lights upon a grand 44-foot tree, 7-foot-tall reindeer figurines, vintage Atlanta pop-up activations, interactive custom displays and more. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Atlantic Station are also partnering with Carson Williams, an electrical engineer whose ingenious holiday light experiences have gone viral, to provide hand-programmed light shows to the tune of holiday favorites.

While the decor throughout property is Atlanta-inspired, the vision for the installation is from former New York street artist and installation sculptor John Carter who drew from his northern experiences to light up the Station. To make the displays more art than decoration, Carter created the magical reindeer out of Georgia license plates, metal cars and found materials, with the reindeer costumes custom-made by famed Broadway tailor Arel Studio. Additionally, the vintage VW Beetle on property was conceived by Carter and reimagined by Costume Armour, New York’s premier prop and sculpture shop known for creating work for Broadway’s biggest shows, including CATS and Phantom of the Opera.

New this year, guests can also enjoy “The Vinyl Lounge and Sleigh Lodge,” a modern pop-up spot decorated with Atlanta artists’ holiday-themed albums and a record player. Throughout the season, Atlantic Station will host special experiences in the cozy lounge, including festive cocktail hours, holly jolly photo opportunities and more.
