Alpharetta-raised Elite model Meredith Mickelson Spills her best-kept beauty secrets, celeb crush and what we have to order at Chick-fil-A.
How were you discovered? I was 14 in a mall. These two people approached me insisting I come down to Florida to do this model scouting trip. I talked to my mom (and she made sure it was safe and real, ha-ha!) and we flew together. Soon after, I signed with an agency in Atlanta called Salt. That’s how it all began.
Craziest thing you’ve done for a shoot? I swam with sharks in Bora Bora, and I gave myself the biggest pep talk because I was freaking out.
What makes you feel sexy? Knowledge. I love when I’m talking to someone and learning something.
First thing you thought when your alarm went off this morning? ‘I really want Chick-fil-A breakfast,’ but they’re closed on Sundays, so my heart broke a little bit. My order is hash browns with a buttered biscuit and Chick-n-Minis. Thank me later.
Celeb crush? Young Mick Jagger
Hidden talents? I love writing. And the amount of gum I chew in a day. LOL, that’s about it.
Your YouTube series with roomie Chase Carter (MickCheese) is so fun… We just have a blast filming together, and it always ends in us laughing so hard we can’t breathe.
Instagram habits? I haven’t been using my Instagram as often as I used to. I guess a bad habit I have is opening my app, and then closing it and reopening it five seconds later. Another big habit would be looking up dessert and food pages. Chase and I always send them back and forth as we’re sitting right next to each other in the apartment—and then end up ordering them right after on Postmates.
Beauty secrets? Laser hair removal saved me! I’m also super big on using Mario Badescu rose hips nourishing oil for my face each night and using an exfoliating glove from a drugstore to make sure I get off all the deep dirt and oils.
What is your mantra? Be fully present in whatever moment you’re in, appreciate it for what it is and make the best out of it.
