Local heartthrob Michael Aaron Milligan’s latest acting endeavor? Taking on the role of a computer programmer in the Counter-Terrorist Unit in FOX’s new prime-time series, 24: Legacy. The former JEZ Most Beautiful caught up with us to dish on the details of his action-packed life. @thanksamilligan
On filming the show in Atlanta: For me, shooting here in Atlanta is a blessing. My folks live here, so to be here with family and to book a show with this caliber here in Atlanta is fantastic.
On his fave ATL restos: I’m not a big foodie, but I do enjoy trying new places, so right now, my favorite is Folk Art. I enjoy the simple homestyle food, but with a little bit of a spin.
On his 24: Legacy character: My character is Theo Sterling, and he’s the new programmer at the Counter-Terrorist Unit headquarters. Basically, I have a certain set of skills that they can use in this season to get closer on the trail of the terrorists who are trying to plot an attack on American soil.
On his experience working with the cast: A dream come true. They are so incredibly nice. I work closest with Teddy Sears, who plays Keith Mullins on the show—he and I are constantly making little jokes. He’s always professional, but it’s so nice to lighten the load by just hitting a little joke. That’s the kind of stuff that helps break the pressure.
On what viewers can expect this season: It’s action-packed. It’s intense; it’s vulgar; it’s provocative; it’s definitely high-energy. There is a lot of violence and a lot of backstabbing.
On what’s next for him this year: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. It’s a really cool film. I fell in love with the story and the script. I auditioned for the part and booked this small role—but an integral part in the story—and I got to book with the biggest names I’ve ever worked with before.
