By Jordan Hill By Jordan Hill | March 20, 2020 | People,
Congratulations on being named Miss Georgia USA 2020! What does the title mean to you?
Being Miss Georgia USA provides a platform to enhance my voice, work and passion for others. Not only will I represent my state at Miss USA, but I will represent Alyssa, the young woman who will continue her work for the arts, equality and opportunity, and various Miss Universe alliances long after the crown has been passed. This title is another steppingstone in my incredible journey, and I am so honored to hold it for the year 2020!
You’re currently a student at the University of Georgia. How do you find time to juggle all of the responsibilities that come with being a titleholder and a student?
I strive to stay organized and on top of my schedule. I’ve always been one to juggle intense days. I personally thrive off of business. However, I also think it is important to be realistic, so knowing I wanted to stay busy with this title, I decided to go part time at UGA to prioritize my preparations and work for the national competition.
What are you most looking forward to in the next year?
Having yet another opportunity to use my voice and actions to impact others. I absolutely love meeting new people and getting to know the communities around me. My job is to bring a smile and joy to people. Whether I can touch one or 10,000 individuals, I know even the most difficult moments will have been worth it. This is the most exciting part, aside from Miss USA, that I will experience this year.
How are you preparing to represent Georgia at Miss USA?
I am so blessed to have such a supportive village to assist in my Miss USA preparations. From walking and talking to mental strength and clarity, I’m thankful to have my community. I am continuing to book a ton of appearances in the midst of my preparations, which will only strengthen my abilities come time to compete. Most of all, I am taking care of myself mentally and physically and feeling on top of the world by doing so. @missgausa
