Two things have been a near-constant in Kelsey Wingert’s adult life: broadcast journalism and sports. The 24-year-old Florida native currently works as a field reporter and host for the Atlanta Braves on FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast. After moving to Texas, then heading to Louisiana State University for college, the Sandy Springs dweller graduated summa cum laude in 2014 with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in sports studies. “When this job came open,” she says, “I was contacted about it from a friend who worked with FOX Sports South, and it took off from there!” Before hitting the field as part of the Atlanta Braves’ last stint at Turner Field (the final game of the season is Oct. 2), Wingert let us in on her camera-ready glam secrets.
