“I grew up in a lot of places,” says Idunnu Tomori, owner and CEO of local online jewelry boutique Misayo House. After stints in NYC, London and Nigeria—where her parents are from—Tomori landed back down south, earning a psychology degree from Florida State University and her master’s in mental health counseling from Georgia State University. After working as a counselor for several years, her husband’s job required they move to South Africa in 2010, where she began hosting jewelry parties with friends. From there, Misayo (which was named for her oldest daughter and means “beautiful generation” in Japanese) was born. The high-quality jewelry pieces are double-plated to ensure a lengthy life of wear, and the brand is working this summer to expand its already impressive collection. In between running her biz, Tomori took the time to reveal her makeup, hair and skin must-haves to JEZ. @misayohouse
