Though petite in size, Eve Overland can kick your butt. The new ATL resident is highly trained in the Israeli martial art/self-defense system of Krav Maga, along with kickboxing, kettlebells, strength and conditioning, yoga, and more. Born in Duluth, Minn., Overland began her career as an actress in commercials for the likes of Best Buy, United Way and Target. A relocation to L.A. found her working as a casting director for reality TV shows on MTV, VH1, A&E and FOX (she even had a stint in front of the cameras as a contestant on Temptation Island in 2003). As she made the transition to more fitness gigs, a phone call in 2010 changed everything. “I was hired as the touring personal trainer for country singer Carrie Underwood, and I’ve been touring with her ever since,” Overland says. She moved to Nashville, Tenn., shortly after, but now calls Atlanta home. With Underwood taking a tour break to care for her new baby, Overland’s setting her sights on taking her new town by storm, with stunt work, on-set training for the locally filmed show Constantine and a new gig at fitness studio BLAST. In between her hectic schedule, she let us glimpse into her beauty bag.
