Brands around the world are offering up coloring book initiatives for all ages.
“Creative freedom is a form of escapism, something we need now more than ever,” says Manolo Blahnik, the founder of his eponymous shoe brand, on his new color-in sketches available on the Manolo Blahnik website. The Art of Colouring is partnering with the Mental Health Foundation and includes five downloadable outlines of Blahnik’s shoe designs. The designs includes a sketch of the Tortura heel from 2000, the 2013 slingback Margolina and the classic Blahnik Oxford.
One of New York’s most playful and stylish hotels partnered with French illustrator Jean-Philippe Delhomme for its first coloring kit, The Colorful Mark. The book features iconic aspects of The Mark, including the entranceway, concierge desk, along with a lieu of other witty drawings depicting The Mark’s landmarks.
Academies and museums from around the world are offering up coloring books on topics ranging from medicine to the Russian ballet as part of the Color Our Collection program. Color pages inspired by the wares at Cambridge University or Trinity Hall. Each of the 100-plus books are available for download and come in a wide variety of skill levels.
The Riverhead, N.Y.-based wine company teamed up with Netherlandic illustrator Merijn Hos for the coloring book Color & Sip - Keep Calm And Color On. The book comes as a perfect escape from long hours of Netflix-watching and will soon be up online in both digital and hard copies. The set comes with a set of colored pencils and can be purchased with a bottle of wine.
Iconic restaurant The Smith is providing downloadable coloring pages as a part of its employee relief program. Purchasable for $5 each, the 13 pages show the various ways people can still love and connect during this time.
